About Us

SS&L makes positive changes to people’s lives through learning. We work across Somerset, providing adult education, apprenticeships as well as courses for school leavers (aged 16-18). As well as offering skills and qualifications, we invest heavily in community projects to help disadvantaged groups to improve their lives through learning.

SS&L is one of the highest rated providers in Somerset, with 96% of learners recommending us to friends and family in our recent survey.

Our work-based learning team specialise in training for business & administration, team leading & management, childcare and teaching assistants. Whilst our qualifications team can support computer & digital skills, as well as maths, English and ESOL

We offer flexible learning with online support and delivery across our 5 Somerset based centres in Taunton, Bridgwater, Yeovil, Frome and Shepton Mallet.

SS&L is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company accredited by Matrix and is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted.
