Somerset Food and Drink Forum - October 2025

Somerset Chamber of Commerce has launched a new Somerset food and drink forum specifically for business owner and senior leaders who work in the food and drink sector.
 
Our first forum will be held at Müller in Bridgwater and aims to connect senior decision-makers to discuss common challenges, discuss best practice and shared growing pains. All discussions will be held in full confidence.

There will also be an opportunity to network with like-minded business professionals from the food and drink sector and the chance to chat openly about the things that matter to your business.
 
The forum will be chaired by Chris Milton of Chris Milton Executive Coaching. Chris has over 35 years in the food and drink industry and has recently stepped down after 15 years as a director of Thatchers Cider.
 
Chris now works primarily as a business and leadership coach and mentor and has Thatchers Cider, Stephens Scown and Müller among his clients. He has recently been part of the team that has purchased Taste of the West from the administrator with a view to rebuilding the brand.
 
This first Somerset food and drink forum is sponsored by regional law firm, Stephens Scown, which recently successfully represented cider-makers Thatchers in their copyright court battle against supermarket chain Aldi.
 
We will hear from industry experts at Stephens Scown, as well as the team at Müller, who have also kindly offered to give attendees a tour of the Bridgwater site.
 
Müller is a family run dairy business which employs over 32,000 people throughout Europe and exports to over 60 countries internationally. It develops, manufactures and markets a wide range of branded and private label dairy products made with milk from 1,300 farmers in Britain, alongside a designated plant-based range.

• Attendees must be an owner or director, such as a MD, CEO, senior level executive or non-executive director, of a Somerset food or drink business and/or organisation
• Attendees must employ at least 2-5 members of staff in Somerset
• Criteria for attendance eligibility rests with the Somerset Chamber of Commerce, whose decision is final
• Somerset Chamber reserves the right to cancel and refund your booking should you not meet the criteria for this event

Bookings for this event will close on Wednesday, October 15, at 4pm. Please note refunds cannot be made in the event of cancellation after bookings have closed.
